We Walk Your Dog

All our canine pals need some scheduled (the pups like routines a lot!) outdoor time to “get busy” taking care of their biological needs, but also to stretch their legs, burn some energy, catch up on the neighborhood news, and, oftentimes to socialize with some friends. We offer several options for getting the pups out of the house and walking around the neighborhood.

Pricing

Walks are scheduled in 30-minute increments, which generally means walks are 20-25 minutes, given time for the walkers put on and take off gear and to get from one walk to the next.

  • Group-eligible pup, 20-25 minute walk:

  • Walks of different duration are available; let us know what you are looking for and we’ll work with you. There is a price reduction for walks that are regularly scheduled and 3x or more per week.

A Walk in the Woods

On Thursdays, at 11am we take a pack of pups (minimum 2, maximum 4) for a jaunt in the woods. Pick-ups and drop offs take about 15 minutes on either side of the 1-hour walk. The pups have plenty of time to see the sights, sniff the smells, and just enjoy being away from home and traffic and city noise, and share the walk in a natural setting with their pack members.

We Sit Your Dog (Daycare)

Some days pups need a little companionship combined with a walk or two and maybe a dose of meds, either in your home or at ours. Perhaps you have to go to the office, but the pup is recovering from illness or surgery and you don’t want to leave them alone. Maybe workers will be banging on your walls for several hours and that makes the pup uncomfortable, so you’d like the pup to have somewhere to go. Fox & Hounds DC can (pick-up and drop-off as required) hang with your dog to provide some TLC, “human time,” and/or distraction.

We will care for your dog during the day, at your place or ours

  • Single pup, 5 hours (including pick-up and drop-off): $75.00
  • Pup pairs, 5 hours (single origination/home, including pick-up and drop-off): $100.00

    We Board Your Dog (Overnights)

    There are times when you are going to be away for a while and your dog just cannot come with you. The pup can stay with us or we can stay with the pup to provide companionship, rustle up meals, and get the pups out for at least four walks per day.

    Pricing

    We will keep your dog overnight, at your place or ours.

    • Single pup, 24 hours (includes minimum 4 walks; feeding; medications, if needed; pick-up and drop-off): Start at $100.00
    • Pup pairs, 24 hours (single origination/home, including pick-up and drop-off): Start at $165.00

      Additional charges may apply if the pup is special needs (examples: high anxiety, separation anxiety, diabetic shots) or you have special requirements including specific timing of walks, routes to be walked, etc. Discuss pricing when you schedule the sit for your pups.

      Note: While we do not change our prices for holidays or weekends, we hope you will remember to tip your walkers for their excellent service, maybe even be a bit more generous with them at the holidays.
