Cindy Fox is the owner/operator of Fox & Hounds DC. Cindy founded Fox & Hounds DC in 2015 in an effort to spend as much time as possible with her elderly dog, Buster. Buster, who was 14, was experiencing age-related challenges with walking and seeing and hearing among other issues. Because this was before the pandemic, remote work was less available and unheard of in the field of international development where Cindy had worked.

Walking dogs gave Cindy the opportunity to include Buster in group walks with friends when he was up to it and to check in on Buster between walks. Unsurprisingly, Cindy made a lot of canine friends, and after Buster left us, she continued to work with dogs, who just make life better.
Cindy holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor’s in History (mostly Russian) from Virginia Commonwealth University. She continues to apply her education in her career, but with a twist: she practices interspecies relations with a focus on the mutually beneficial association of dogs and humans.
